Support S. Res. 185
--Recognizing the Historical Significance of the 100th Anniversary of Korean Immigration to the United States--

Number 3, Feb. 2002

The Korean American community will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Korean immigration to the United States in January 2003. Senate Resolution 185 was introduced by Senator George Allen (VA) in November 2001 to recognize the past contributions and achievements of Korean Americans, who now number more than one million according to the 2000 Census, and ask the President to issue a proclamation to observe the anniversary. Attached hereto is a copy of the resolution.
