Korean American Day Celebration at the Smithsonian

A great musical event, SOUNDS OF KOREA 2011, in honor of the Korean American Day, which is January 13 (in celebration of Korean immigration to the U.S.).

This event will take place in the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian on January 14, 2011 (Friday)

The performers are nationally and internationally distinguished musicians who will be traveling from Korea to show the wonders about Korean traditional music. Performing instruments are Korean string instruments (A-jeang, Gayageum) and flutes (Daegeum, Piri). There will be singing performance as well. The performance will last 80 mins and it will be followed by a reception afterwards.

Event happens on January 14, 2011 6:30pm-9:00pm. (Reception begins at 8 p.m.)
