» View News & Updates List

Dear Friends,

Dec. 14 marks the 1000th Protest on behalf of Korean "Comfort Women" victims, the continuous protest every Wednesday for the past 19 years in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul. The few surviving victims and their support organization (The Korean Council for the Women Drafted for Sexual Slavery by Japan) are demanding sincere acknowledgement and apology from the Japanese government on this issue, yet no representative of the Japanese embassy has ever come out of its building to talk to the protesters.

The organizers of the 1000th Protest event is collecting solidarity messages. Please send your solidarity message to nakausa@naka.org by December 7.
